Confrontation Final Film

First Draft Feedback

After some further feedback from our peers wthin our crew we have come to the realization our movie needs a bit of tweaking. Some advice that was given to us was increasing the volume of our dialogue and adding in more sound like music. Music suggested Fight Night by Migo's reason being to connect more to our teenage audience with hip hop and the fight scene. Also, a new way to display the credits the suggestion was that we introduce the credits with the sound of scuffling noises to give a more enigmatic flash forward of the fight scene to happen while also giving a more creative way to display the credits. We will use these suggestions to improve the quality of our film. One last thing we have also decided to change the name of our movie to Confrontation.

Sound Editing Decisions

 Introduction

The art of editing in film is the practice of cutting and adding different elements to be able to finish a film. The importance of editing in film making is to provide the audience with clear smooth transitions throughout the movie and make it more both visually and soundly more pleasing. Now when it comes to me and my teams approach to the storytelling of editing with sound we use dialogue and internal dialogue with a voice which I Cole A provided and the use of diegetic sound. With dietgetic sound we were able to give off more realism with our film an example of this is when the character Cory was brushing his teeth and with the voice over we added for Cory's thoughts when showing off his room.

Visual Editing Decisions

     Introduction

Editing in film is where you adjust the shots that were taken during filming. Editing in the filming process is important for the film to give clear transitions to different scenes and make it look pleasing to the audience. When it comes to the storytelling of editing we approach it with a traditional standpoint. That being the production company logo, title, and credits. First we added a production company logo while editing, then the credits of everyone who participated, then at the end the title of our movie which we change the font style to give off a better tone of the drama in our movie. This was all thanks to our editor Eric E who could make all this possible. Even though it was little and with my inexperience with editing I still tried to help by making suggestions to Eric E like the transitions of scenes and the dialogue which will go more into depth into the next blog.

Day 2 Filming Behind the Scenes

Day 2 of filming after day 1 things have been going smoothly for me and my team. Thankfully no inconveniences have occurred. With that being said day 2 of our filming was to record the house scenes of Cory starting his day. We were able to get the shots we wanted that we had visualized.

Day 1 Filming Behind the Scenes

This day 1 of me and my team's day of filming. We have all the materials we need to film that being my phone and a tripod. Also, the scenes we have all decided to do first. That being the hallway, and the argument scene when we were inside the school.

Locations

For a teenage drama movie there are two main locations: the school and the character or characters house. So, the locations that we chose were Piper high school where the film is primarily filmed and my house which is Cory's house in the film.
